Collective Identity

6/1/2010

Here in Honors and Portfolio we are not the most typical art class. We do not follow the traditional guidelines of an artistic course. Together we create our own community where we inspire and push each other to new heights. Whether it be our projects or our outstanding art show, together we redefine the modern art class. I believe our collective identity is atypical. As diverse as we all are we somehow manage to gravitate to each other and bounce off one another in different directions. We live and breathe off of each others creativity. If a school board official witnessed our class on a daily basis they would notice the lack of invisible divide between us. There is no segregation between gender, age, skill, medium, or interest. We hold a standard of respect for one another and the value of eachothers work. All of us are talented in some way and are unified by our love of art.

My Artist Profile

As a high school student looking to apply to art school, I’m using word press to post some of the art I have created. I’m excited for this year’s portfolio class and am already starting to get in the swing of things. I can’t wait to post some cool art up in here!
